She was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Kolber was born in Pennsylvania earned a doctoral degree from University of Miami. Her professional career began as a Video Coordinator at CBS Sports, New York City. She received a Sports Emmy while working at WTVJ-TV, Miami. Also, she worked at WPLG-TV in Miami and WPEC-TV which is located in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was selected to be anchor for ESPN2 in 1993, when it first launched. After three years with the network, she left ESPN2 to join Fox Sports. In 1999 she was hired by ESPN to present 'Monday Night Countdown.'
